about the limited edition golf art prints

All the golf art shown are originals created by New York City based golf artist Steven Anthony SalernoHis on-line gallery of unframed golf art prints are available for purchase and can be viewed in full by visiting sasgolf.com

The artist works in a variety of methods: traditionally with paints, inks, pastels, crayons, etc... on paper or canvas. Some images are created entirely digitally in the computer, while still others are traditional & digital hybrids, which entails taking his art images executed traditionally and scanning them into Adobe Photoshop in layers, and then adding digital embellishments to create the final image effect.

The original art is superbly reproduced digitally and then high-resolution prints are created (called giclee prints) using advanced inkjet printing technology which sprays millions of microscopic droplets of brilliant archival permanent pigment inks with unsurpassed precision. This is the same printing process that many museums now use to make incredibly precise fine reproductions of their art collection. These golf art prints are printed on 100% cotton rag-based archival fine art papers, using permanent pigment inks. If properly framed and displayed these beautiful prints will last more than a lifetime without fading.

The artist hand numbers and signs each print within the limited edition. An official Certificate of Authenticity, registered to the buyer, is also included with each print.
These prints are only available through this direct offer by the artist. They cannot be purchased in any gallery or through any other web site.

Edition Terms:
An open editionconsists of reproductions from the original artwork without limit to how many reproductions can be printed.

limited edition is a finite number of reproductions... such as an edition of 100, or 200, or 300 reproductions, etc.. Which print number you receive is based strictly on the order in which it is purchased. For example, if you are the 17th buyer of a print from a limited edition of 200, your print will be marked as "17/200". Once that specific edition sells out, no others copies are ever printed again, thus enhancing the value of each existing print from that specific edition.

An exclusive edition is the same as a limited edition but far fewer prints are produced... sometimes as few as just 50 signed prints, making owing such a print more unique.

When purchasing a high quality unframed art print, ideally you must have it framed behind UV protected glass or UV protected plexi-glass (acrylic) to protect the inks in the print from the sun's ultra violet rays, and also use archival (acid free) matting & backing. Just like an original piece of artwork, the print must never be displayed on a wall exposed to direct sunlight or displayed in any high humidity room or environment. Under proper framing and display conditions, the colors in these fine art prints will last more than a lifetime without fading.
